HR and H&S Officer

Location: Hyde Salary: £26000 - £28000 per annum


One of our clients are currently looking for a HR and Health & Safety Officer to join a successful manufacturing company based in Stockport, on a permanent basis.

This is a generalist role where you will join a HR team, supporting in all areas of HR and H&S.
Some duties will include:

  • Ensure all employee documentation is kept up to date, including contracts, appraisals etc
  • Assist line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Support with updating the company handbook, drafting and updating policies and procedures
  • Assist with recruitment, including advertising, shortlisting, arranging interviews, giving feedback etc
  • Support with recording employee time and attendance
  • Assist with producing and maintaining training documentation
  • Ensure all H&S and legislation paperwork displayed on site is compliant with legislation and updates are carried out accordingly in line with any change
  • Ensure risk assessments, investigations and reports are completed in a timely manner


It is essential you have previous HR and H&S experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. It is preferable that you have IOSH qualification. You will have good basis knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and knowledge and understanding of Employment Law.

You must be efficient, flexible and enjoy working in a fun, varied role where the team all work together to ensure a task/project is completed.
