Senior HR Advisor - hybrid working

Employment Type: ContractLocation: PrestonSalary: £35000 - £40000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior HR Advisor to join a well-established business based in Preston, initially on a 12 month FTC. This is a true generalist role where you will work as part of a wider HR team to implement the people plan. This role involves building strong relationships with departmental managers, providing coaching and guidance on leadership, performance management, and the application of HR policies and procedures. Additionally, the HR Advisor plays a key role in recruitment, induction, and supporting the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as organisational changes.

Below is an overview of some of the things you will take responsibility for:

  • Building effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Supporting and coaching Managers on all areas of HR
  • Continuous improvement of HR policies, ensuring they are understood and applied consistently
  • Advising on performance and absence related issues
  • Establishing internal succession plans as part of a broader talent management strategy
  • Continuously coach line managers on their role in delivering an excellent colleague experience
  • Supporting the implementation of the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives

Qualifications / Skills required:

  • Relevant experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations, performance management, and recruitment
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent coaching and advisory abilities
  • Proficiency in implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Capability to manage and influence at various levels
