Sales and Account Operations Manager

My client, a forward thinking manufacturer supplying into the retail sector are looking to recruit a Sales and Account Operations Manager. Reporting into the Sales Director this role is responsible for overseeing the sales processes, managing account operations, leading CRM system upgrades, preparing tender proposals, and integrating AI technologies to enhance sales and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Operations:

    • Monitor sales performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
    • Review and upgrade the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
    • Manage the preparation and submission of tender proposals
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for proposals
  2. Account Management:

    • Oversee the management of key accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the main point of contact
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to clients
    • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise with clients promptly and effectively
    • Be the first point of contact for qualifying inbound sales enquiries
  3. Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales operations and account management teams
    • Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team and conduct performance reviews
  4. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Manage Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, account status, and team productivity
    • Use data analysis to provide insights and recommendations to the Sales Director
    • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to provide strategic advice

Experience required:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations and account management, preferably in a product based sector
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.
    • Leadership and team management experience
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
