Finance Assistant

Salford

Salary: up to circa £27k/ £28k

We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join an expanding business based in Salford.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position involves close, regular contact with stakeholders and the wider finance team to support with transactional finance duties.

Responsibilities include:

  • Purchase ledger for various companies within the Group as required
  • Monthly and Mid-month payment runs
  • Assist with Sales ledger invoices for specified companies within the Group
  • Payment on Account reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations for specified companies within the Group
  • Assist with audit requirements as directed.
  • Intercompany recharge invoices throughout the Group
  • Support with credit control

Skills & attributes:

  • Have the ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Sound knowledge of IT systems and accounting packages
  • Good attention to detail and record keeper
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Flexible and professional approach to work
  • Honest and reliable
