HR Manager

Employment Type: PermanentLocation: ChorleySalary: £50000 - £55000 per annum

I am partnering exclusively with a client of mine who are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function.

Reporting into the Company Director the HR Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the workforce remains motivated, engaged, and aligned with the company's goals and values. This role involves overseeing HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and fostering a positive workplace culture across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

  • Driving a high-performance culture in the business
  • Reviewing and update HR policies / processes
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across the business
  • Coaching managers on all area of HR, ensuring consistency and fairness
  • Supporting Managers in overseeing absence and performance issues
  • Organising training and development for employees as well as ensuring a smooth onboarding process
  • Leading on talent attraction and retention
  • Driving engagement and wellbeing within the business
  • Researching employee benefits and enhancing the current offering
  • Using the HR system, People HR, to analyse data, identifying trends and producing reports for Managers
  • Line Managing a small team in HR

This is a true generalist role, and you will be joining the company during an exciting period of growth. With growth comes opportunity - this role is very much about embedding the basics and best practice before moving on to working with Managers and as part of the leadership team to drive a variety of forward-thinking people based initiatives.

To succeed in this role it is essential that you have the following:

  • Relevant HR experience at a similar level - ideally having worked within a high-growth business
  • Experience in the health and social care sector
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and the understanding that HR isn't always black and white
  • Bags of energy and passion for what you do as well as taking pride in your work
